The third time’s the charm. After the venerable Foursevens was bought over by Prometheus Lights, the timeless classic that is the Preon P2 is re-released in an all-new configuration that is bound to impress new and old fans alike.
In essence, Prometheus Lights took everything good about the original Preon P2 and made it better. Running on easily available AAA batteries, the Preon P2 Mk. lll puts out 210 lumens of gorgeous light courtesy of the Hi-CRI Nichia 219C emitter that allows you to see truer color, even in the dark.
The Preon P2 Mk. lll now comes stock with the legendary Prometheus pocket clip, which is perfectly tensioned and extremely durable. In addition, the grooves beneath the clip were removed to prevent them from tearing into your pocket.
Another common problem with the original Preon was accidental activation due to the finicky tail cap. This has been solved by implementing a newly-designed rubber tail cap that is extra solid and highly functional. Coupled with the intuitive user interface, the Preon P2 Mk. lll is superbly easy to use yet highly configurable.
Finally, the Preon P2 Mk. lll now benefits from Prometheus Light’s signature coating and finish options, which include the exquisite and extremely tough satin Electroless Nickel and stealthy PVD coating.
The Preon P2 Mk. lll retains the groundbreaking spirit of Foursevens while leveraging on the relentless innovation and fanatical craftsmanship that Prometheus Lights is renowned for. If this is a sign of things to come, then the stage is set for bigger, better, and brighter things to come.
