From the land that gave us Opinel and Laguiole, Opus Design is a new breed of cutler (as they call them in France) that builds on a long lineage and culture of elite knifemaking. Custom designed and made by Charles who’s known as the Thrill Maker – the Islero is set to make a statement.
The first design under the Opus banner, the Islero is a lightweight EDC knife that combines everyday sensibilities with a unique French flair. Forged from N690Co steel to a thickness of 5mm and cryogenic tempered to 60-61 HRC, the Islero is a beast of a blade despite its slim and svelte profile. A custom Kydex sheath accompanies the Islero and makes for easy carrying around your neck or on your belt.
From the freehand grinding to the shaping of the sleeves, everything that can be done by hand is done by Charles himself to ensure the highest standards. In addition, the design of the eye on the Islero eventually inspired the design of the Opus Design logo – so you can be certain that this is a very special blade from an equally inspiring maker.
