Pre-Owned: Northwoods Fremont Jack - Smoke Burlap Micarta
Elegant Everyday Jackknife
Condition: Excellent (New)
Since its launch, the Northwoods Fremont Jack has garnered a cult-following among traditional slip joint enthusiasts - and for good reason. Commissioned by the late, and great, Derrick Bohn of KSF, this highly sought-after blade is made by GEC in the USA to the highest of standards.
The Fremont Jack is based off a traditional sleeveboard pattern pocket knife with a modified sheepsfoot blade that is large enough to take on any everyday task, while still being compact enough to pocket easily.
The blade is made of superbly heat treated 1095 carbon steel, which is easy to sharpen and will develop a gorgeous patina with use. The steel liners add rigidity, while a crisp half-stop adds a measure of security. The scales are made from a beautifully textured Smoke Burlap Micarta, which is lightweight and incredibly tough and robust.
Inspired by a famous street in Portland, Oregon and made in Titusville, Pennsylvania by GEC, the Fremont Jack is an all-American modern interpretation of the elegant jackknife like the one your grandfather carried.
