Adapting from the bestselling modern classic that is the Prometheus Lights Alpha, which runs on a larger 18650 battery, the Alpha Shorty is powered by an 18350 battery and packs the same amount of awesomeness in a smaller and more pocketable package.
While the 18650 battery has a larger capacity, it's also double the size of the 18350 battery. As such, for casual use where you don't need extended, prolonged and continuous illumination, the Alpha Shorty makes for an ideal EDC flashlight with its highly compact form-factor.
Expertly machined at Hirsch Machine in Santa Clara, USA, the Alpha Shorty features a solid aluminum shell. It also comes with the signature Prometheus Electroless Nickel finish that is incredibly corrosion-resistant and durable.
Running on the programmable custom Icarus LED Driver, the Alpha Shorty takes full advantage of the Nichia 319a 500K triple LEDs. It puts out one of the best looking beams with over 800 lumens OTF and will help you see more and better in the dark. This specific shorty also features a medium angle optic and glow board.
Designed to outperform and outlast, the Alpha Shorty uses the industry-leading McClicky “forward” switch, Mil-spec silver plated 24 AWG Teflon coated wires, and the faceted Ledil "Boom" Reflector from Finland that’s precision-molded such that each facet is engineered to optimize the beam. Every element is carefully considered and meticulously tested to ensure optimal performance.
