So, when we heard about Yellowood Designs and their mission to restore vintage American axes to their former glory – we knew a collaboration was in order.

For this one-of-a-kind collaboration, we chose to work with the 14" Half Hatchet because it’s the perfect size for use in your garage, workshop, or on a traipse through the outdoors. The distinguishing feature of the Half Hatchet is that it’s multi-functional (you know how we’re big on functionality).

On one side of the Half Hatchet is the cutting edge – which is perfect for the standard splitting, trimming, and cutting of wood or for hacking your way through the bush. The other half is a hammer-like striking face – which lets you drive nails, pins, shape metal, and other heavy-duty tasks around the shop or campsite. 

Aside from being an indispensable tool, the Half Hatchet is a work of art in and of itself. Restored individually by hand, each axe head is carefully revived and resharpened. The solid hickory wood handle is chosen for its strength and stability and features a gorgeous worn-in ombre finish.
