A firm proponent of #useyourshit, Adam (@adamduval_) from Ontario, Canada, works as an electrician and puts his gear to good use – day in and day out. Read on for the full rig rundown, how he uses his gear to get the job done, and what blades Adam has his sights on next.

For flashlights, I mainly carry my Okluma DC1 in stonewashed titanium with green afterglow and Nichia 219C emitters for high color accuracy.

My folding knife is the OZ Machine Company Roosevelt number 57 with dark blasted titanium scales, stonewashed blade and hardware.
- Slip joint: GEC #47
When it comes to traditional knives, I carry the Great Eastern Cutlery #47 Viper slip joint with OD green micarta scales and a tan leather noose knot lanyard. The leather slip for my slip joint was handmade by myself.

This is the legendary All-access Pass 1.5 in stonewashed titanium with a pocket clip I bought from Thunderbird Gear, who is a Canadian supplier of EDC gear.

Finally, my daily hank is an OD green with checkered backing that was made by me (@beardedhankz.co) on Instagram.
What's your story?
I am based out of Ontario, Canada. I use the gear in my EDC constantly on the job. As you can imagine, I use my flashlight pretty regularly everyday being an electrician. The Okluma beam is very solid and consistent, allowing me to see what I doing without a doubt.
My main folder takes care of the bigger tasks as my slip joint is saved for stripping wire. The pry tool is used to help me remove existing wire by removing staples that secure it.
Hanks allow me to keep all my tools clean as well as wick sweat from my face while working in hot areas like an attic. Would have a super hard day ahead of me if I didn’t have these tools so everything gets good use daily #useyourshit.
I enjoy being outdoors and I am constantly looking for new hobbies where I can work with my hands. I make my own leather slips, hanks and worry coins to make my EDC feel more personal.
I started EDC in 2013 when I was working at a lumber yard. My coworker got me interested when I found that he carried a knife daily to make his life at work easier.
He gave me my first knife for EDC purposes which I still have today. I quickly collected many knives and other gear. When I left that job, I sold my collection as it was no longer necessary, or allowed at my new job.
Within the last year, I found myself needing an EDC again and when I rebought a Paramilitary 2, my addiction for EDC gear started again. Since I had my prior knowledge, it didn’t take me long to start picking up some pretty solid gear with the help of a few new friends I made in the Instagram community.
The rest has been history, building a collection to my liking, upgrading and finding new gear that I didn’t about.
My hobbies include photography, collecting comic books, wood and leather work, and cooking. I spend most of my free time with my family hiking, enjoying the outdoors, and hunting for comics.
Favorite EDC Tool?
My favourite piece of EDC gear is the Oz Machine Co. Roosevelt because it is the first custom knife that I purchased. It’s something I never thought I would have the opportunity to own, but I was lucky enough to happen upon a spot in his books. I have carried it for 3 months straight and it’s definitely my favourite folder that I have ever carried.
What's next on your gear radar?
I am always searching for GEC Vipers with covers that I don’t have, but if there is anything I could carry that I don’t already own, it would be a Jared Price Mini Bowie full titanium folder with a spydiehole or thumbstud – awesome looking knife!
