Want to know what I carry? Well, here is your chance! Read on to find out which curated carry I have put together for this week. Hint, it involves an Urban EDC exclusive knife that can only be found here!
Kizer Lundquist Feist - Micarta (Exclusive) – A year in the making, I first fell in love with this knife at the 2018 SHOT Show in Vegas. This perfectly executed design by Justin Lundquist has clean, crisp lines and snappy action. The front flipper adds a fun tactility and the exclusive natural canvas or burlap micarta brings the style up a notch. This liner-locking knife features a drop point S35VN blade that is great for edge retention, meaning I have to sharpen less. Overall, I love the weight and fidget factor that his knife offers.
Hinderer Investigator Pen - Stainless Steel – I like a little weight to my pen, if you couldn't tell from the brass pen I carried last week. The stainless Hinderer Investigator provides a nice, balanced weight. What I like about this pen is the Fisher Space refill and the threaded cap. The cap can be posted, and the threads are really well machined, making it buttery smooth to open and close. An added bonus is the tip on the other end, making it an "impact" tool as much as a writing utensil.
T&P Avis-Pry Titanium Tool Companion – I met José from Tactical & Portable through Etsy, and after handling one of his utility blades for the first time last year, I immediately added one to my weekly rotation. What I like about the Avis-Pry is the titanium construction to keep it light, along with the built in prybar. I typically use this around the office for breaking into and breaking down boxes. The pry end has even helped to tighten down screws on the tripod! Plus, with a two-handed opening and closing mechanism, I never have to worry about it opening while it is in my Urban EDC Supply Keychain Tool Sheath (Tall).
Reylight Triple Dawn - Mokume – If you have been reading along for the past few weeks, you have probably picked up that I am also a member of #teampatina. I love a nice patina on my gear to show the passage of time. That is why I added a Reylight Triple Dawn in mokume to my carry. This light is an 18350 fire-breather. I have the XPL setup that can put out up to 3,000 lumens! The saying is that the best flashlight is the one in your pocket, and that goes for this light! I find it in the rotation more and more frequently because of the dreamy swirls of the mokume and the sheer power it has.
Orijin Design Thinking Egg - I was a total skeptic of the Orijin Design Thinking Egg when we brought them into stock. I thought the EDC community finally went too far. But then Yong-Soo tossed me one at my desk to checkout, and I never looked back. These things are very well machined, and I love the asymmetrical shape. I have one of each of the materials lined up on my desk at work, and I like to teeter them back and forth. Neat way of re-gaining focus. I would totally recommend the pine one, or brass (it patinas)!
I totally missed out on the sale of the burlap micarta version of Urban Supply kizer Lundquist Feist & have searched high & low in an effort to find one for sale ! Will Urban Supply ever reissue that variety or is there some sight known to you where I might purchase one ?
