As featured on Cool Hunting, the "Astronomer" Double Spinning Coin is a pocket-sized work of art that you can bring with you, anywhere. Made in USA, this project is a collaboration with graphic artist Billy French, and is inspired by the diversity of the EDC community as well as the grandeur and mysteries of the universe.

As the name suggests, the Astronomer spinning coin can be spun on both sides, wiith proper practice, you could reach over 12 minutes of mesmerizing spinning time on a spin station with a bit of contact point lubricant. This is achieved by constructing the contact points from durable Si3N4 (silicon nitride) black ceramic. Plus, each coin is meticulously hand-balanced with the 'sunny side' up. This ensures the smoothest and longest spinning capabilities.

The design of the coin is truly incredible. Each side is different, with one representing the 'sun' and the flip side bearing the mark of the 'moon'. The sun is depicted with an intricate 'eye' motif, while the exquisite 'moon' side features all the different phases of the moon. It represents the two greatest forces exerting their influence on us, and the tension and balance that exists between these titanic entities.

The designs were meticulously hand-drawn for the template. Then, each spinning coin is individually pressed from solid sterling silver. Then, meticulously hand-balanced with the 'sunny side' up. With proper practice, you could reach over 12 minutes of mesmerizing spinning time on a spin station with a bit of contact point lubricant.

For ultimate elegance, go with the mint version, while the patina-fiends would appreciate the antiqued finish (which could very well be discovered at the bottom of a shipwreck).
