Background:
Matt shares that he has always had a knife in his pocket ever since his father gave him his first Swiss Army knife as a young boy. However, he didn't get into EDC gear seriously until 2005 when he stumbled across BladeForums, and later USN when he was researching the Chris Reeve Sebenza. It was these two forums that opened up a new world of custom knives and high-quality EDC gear for Matt.
In his free time, Matt enjoys photography, collecting knives, and firearms. While he's a dutiful family man and tries to spend as much time with wife (and two cats), Matt also loves going the range and indulging in a nice single malt scotch.
Favorite EDC Tool:
Matt tells us that his favorite everyday carry item is his Laconico Baby Bear. He further clarifies that the Baby Bear is his favorite because it's the tool that gets the most use, and not because it's his favorite knife (although he adores it).
Matt firmly believes that a knife is an absolute essential and he lives by the old Nordic proverb that states that “a knifeless man is a lifeless man.”

Why are these showcases written in a weird third-person perspective? I’d prefer these in an interview/transcript style of questions and answers. Feels like you’re telling me about a celebrity.
