The owner of 3 thriving businesses, Chris (@baehanedc) is the epitome of a go-getter who has shed blood, sweat and tears to achieve success. And being the dedicated family man that he is, Chris places his wife and 3 daughters above all else - which is why some of his most prized possessions are gifts from them. - Firearm: Glock 43
This is my G43 with Trijicon night sights, +2 Taran Tactical basepad and carbon fiber IWB. This setup is a great light weight carry. I carried the G19 for years, but the one issue was the weight when I needed to wear lightweight, thin shorts during the HOT AZ summers. When the G43 came out, I knew I needed it so I contacted my friend, who is a local FFL, and asked him to order one for me ASAP. After shooting it and carrying it for the first couple months, it has remained my EDC ever since.
- Knife: Tom Mayo Dr Death with Fireball Damascus
It was love at first sight. When I saw the Fireball Damascus from my favorite knife maker, I had to have it. I located the owner and my persistence paid off. It is my favorite carry since I received it. It will never chop down a tree, but it will destroy boxes and envelopes with a vengeance!
- Flashlight: Foursevens Preon P1
I love how small it is and the fact that it uses 1 AAA battery, which available everywhere and in a pinch. I ended up purchasing this, the Mini (1AA version), and the QuarkPro (2AA version). Of the 3, the Preon P1 always ends up in my pocket for simplicity. It's surprising how often I need a light, whether behind a computer, taking out trash at night, movie theater, etc.)
- Pen: Fellhoelter TiBolt Monkey Edge Frag with Tetatools Capspin
This pen is a tank. You cannot break this. I have since purchased more than a half dozen in different configurations. I have anodized a few to make more unique. I have ADD so the Capspin helps with my fidgeting habits.
- Watch: Rolex Sea Dweller 4000
My wife bought this gift for me for busting my butt running 3 businesses. We have had a lot of financial ups and downs through our lives. This was something that I've always wanted, but wouldn't buy for myself, so she did. This does not tell time better than my Casio, nor does it have more features than my Samsung Gear S2, but I wear it more often than those since receiving it. =)
- Wallet: Louis Vuitton Epi leather wallet
My 3 daughters bought this for me as a gift to upgrade my previous 15 year old worn leather wallet. It is another one of those things that I would not buy for myself. My previous wallet was perfectly fine, worn but fine. They pooled their money together (from bdays, xmas, etc) to make this happen (they are age 13, 10, 5).
Background:
My name is Chris Lee, from Peoria, AZ - I own 3 businesses (2 retail, 1 real estate).
I do not have a lot of free time lately, but when available, the family loves to be outdoors. Camping, hiking, etc. AZ is perfect for year round activity. When we travel, we try to make the most of it. This past summer, we took a family trip that was 8000 miles around the country visiting family, National Parks, famous sights, etc. Incredibly memorable experience!
I've EDC'd various items all through life, starting in my Cub scout days. It wasn't until a couple years ago I took it more seriously to carry specific items for specific purposes, everyday.
My kids bought a Benchmade 940-1 for me on Father's Day one year. That single knife and the friendship that I made with the seller of that knife lead me down a very interesting road of EDC to what it is today. It has evolved into another hobby of its own. I have made a lot of new friendships in the EDC world that I hope to meet one day.
Favorite EDC Tool:
My watch and wallet are my favorite EDC items because it came from my family. Nothing can beat that. Of the EDC items that I have purchased, this Tom Mayo Dr Death is probably my favorite. It brings my favorite elements of a knife into one piece.

I love everything Tom Mayo. I purchased 3 more Mayos over the holiday week. The first one is a Dr Death in Razor Wire Damascus, Mosaic Pin thumbstud, carbon fiber handle, large Mayo chatter hole, fuller groove. Another is a matching Dr Death in titanium to the previous knife. The last is Large Bowie in Sharkstooth Damascus and DLC handles.
Other knives I'm still looking to acquire are Tom Mayo Covert and Black Ops, anything Michael Raymond (Starlit, Galaxis, Estrella), Scott Cook Lochsa, and any older Chris Reeve knives that were modified by knifemakers, unique graphics, etc.)
