Coming from the rugged landscapes of northern Minnesota, Ben (@bejammin510) relies heavily on his everyday carry for everything from fishing to camping, hiking to exploring. A self-professed enthusiast, he loves the idea of not only being prepared but also doing it in style. Read on for a glimpse into Ben’s daily life through his thoughtfully assembled daily carry.

- Knife: Benchmade Griptilian
This is my full-size Griptillian with Flytanium scales, Steel Flame Old Glory clip, and Atwood Landslide bead. I finished putting this knife together about two months ago, and haven't been able to put it down. The Flytanium Ti scales bring the Griptilian to another level. I also had to give it some personality with a bead and pocket clip from two of my favorite makers.
When I'm not carrying this knife, you will usually see me with my CRK large Sebenza Insingo. I use my knives daily for random cutting tasks and food prep. Knives are the reason I got into the hobby/lifestyle of EDC, so they are my true passion.
- Flashlight: Reylight Pineapple V3
This has quickly become my favorite flashlight. The AA size is awesome for EDC, and it pushes out an impressive wall of light when paired with a 14500 rechargeable battery. I have been house shopping the past few months, so having a reliable flashlight has been crucial for illuminating dark basements.
- Pry Bar 01: Atwood P17 Prybaby
This little guy is awesome! I bought it because I'm a big fan of Peter Atwood's work, and the Prybaby is my favorite design he offers. The combination of a cap lifter, flat head screwdriver, and small pry tip is extremely useful to have on the keychain. The cap lifter tends to see the most action, but I use the pry tip quite a big for scraping things or removing staples.
- Pry Bar 02: ZW Strike Plate
Zach Wood makes some of the best EDC tools on the market. This titanium 6" strike plate pry bar has become an extremely useful part of my carry, and I've been carrying it for about two years. I use it for everything that you would normally be tempted to do with a knife tip. I've found that it is also very handy to have on hand when working on cars.
- Key Organizer: Bladekey
I've had the Bladekey for about 3 years and it has held up great. Extremely light since it is aluminum, and fits just about every key imaginable. After trying many other popular key holders, I always come back to this one.
- Pendant: Steel Flame KillboX with 5mm Talon chain
Honestly, my KillboX is the most important part of my EDC. Derrick and Leonard of Steel flame are amazing people and they create beautiful things. Their slogan is "Humble Gratitude and Respect," or "HGR" for short. I have found great meaning in those words and wearing my KillboX every day serves as a reminder to try and be the best person I can be. Plus it looks awesome!

My name is Ben, and I am from Duluth, MN. I work as a Technologist in the emergency department of a local hospital and enjoy all of the outdoor hobbies that northern Minnesota has to offer. I first got into EDC after becoming an avid knife collector. One day while researching my next knife purchase, I stumbled across EDCforums and was blown away by all of the cool stuff people were carrying! That's what started my interest in collecting things other than knives.
I just love the idea of being prepared, but doing it with style. I also enjoy looking at pictures of what other people are carrying; it's interesting to see and gives you a little glimpse into their lives.

Favorite EDC Tool:
Aside from the Steel Flame KillboX, my favorite piece of gear is my large Sebenza Insingo. Chris Reeve Knives does an incredible job, and it's the only blade that I can't find one problem with.
Next On Your Gear Radar:
After I buy a house, the next piece of gear I'm after is the Okluma DC1 in aluminum. I've heard nothing but good things about Jeff's company, and have been drooling over that light for a long time.
