Featured Tools:
- SAK: Robert J. Lessard
This Robert J. Lessard Compact Tinker Deluxe is my main carry for about 4 years now and it saved my hide in more ways than I can count. The built is flawless and perfect in every way.
- Flashlight: Tain Aurora
That Tain Aurora is from Urban EDC Supply and it took over the place of an Tain Ottavino that I had before. Having a light in dark places and with high CRI is paramount for an engineer. Once again, absolutely flawless built and machining.
- Wallet and caddy: Custom
I made the wallet and caddy myself. The SAK and Tain rest in the merino fleece-lined caddy along with cash, cards, a Rite in the Rain card-sized notebook and a titanium Inka Pen. I also carry some band aids in said wallet. I wanted the most compact wallet with some features I couldn’t find so I made it myself.
- Carabiner: Handgrey
The Handgrey carabiner takes my key and is with me for a long time now. Built-quality and design is second to none.
- Watch: Rolex
The Rolex Explorer is my mechanical timepiece and my return ticket wherever I might run ashore in the world, because hope alone is not a good plan.
My story:
I hail from northern Germany, and I'm an engineer and a craftsman. I admire useful and beautiful gear.
I got into everyday carry due to my grandfather. He was an engineer, hunter and craftsman. He gave me my first proper folding knife and the rest came with my time in the Army.
In what free time I have I like to hike and camp.
Favorite EDC Tool:
My favourite piece of gear is that Lessard TiSAK. Because a knife-less man is a lifeless man.
What's On Your Gear Radar:
Right now I am not looking for anything particular when it comes to EDC gear. I tend to buy torches or knives on a whim but nothing really stays but those things in the photo. I thought about a James Brand Stilwell pen in titanium but didn’t take the leap yet.
